An identity that belongs to the person, not the platform.
PrimeID is the identity layer of the Lydian Node Network. It is created in a witnessed Genesis ceremony and held in your own wallet. Then it answers the questions a service actually needs answered, such as "is this person over 18?" or "cleared to work with students?", without handing over the rest of who you are.

Yours by ceremony
A PrimeID begins in a Genesis ceremony with witnesses who sign for it. Its root sits sealed in your wallet, and the design gives the people who run the network no way to open it; only your own recovery circle can.
Minimal disclosure
A service asks for a predicate and gets a yes or no: over 18, resident here, holds this clearance. It never sees the documents behind the answer.
Aliases you control
One root identity can stand behind separate aliases for work, school or messaging. Each alias has its own keys, so the different parts of your life are not tied together for anyone else to follow.
Earned assurance
Trust that grows with what you can show.
Not every service needs the same certainty. PrimeID is designed around assurance levels, from a basic account up to identities vouched for by several independent witnesses. Each service decides which level it needs for which action, and a person can raise their level by adding witnesses or verified credentials. They never have to surrender more data to do it.
Where safety demands it, for example adults working with children, clearances from accredited screeners attach to the identity as credentials. The service sees that the clearance is valid; it does not see the file.

Banking: prove who you are without handing over everything about who you are.
Health: records that move with you, not into a broker's hands.
Schools and communities: safeguarding without surveillance.
AI agents: an identity the agents acting for you can carry, with limits you set.
Status
The identity ceremony and signing passed a security review before the first founders enrolled. Enrollment is by invitation while the network is rebuilt; assurance levels and app verification are in development.
